A better question: What is art?
Many use the term broadly, including not only painting, but even film and pop music.
Art can be found anywhere, but its ingredients are exactly as follows:
-A unifying theme
-Retail goods
-A motel room
That is to say, we, the Grog Blossomers, are Art.

You guys are an inspiration to artists everywhere. When most people look around they are cursed with the inability to see nothing but their own objective material world. The Grog-Blossomers see what these Obama loving empiricist don't want you to know about, the beauty of what the world could become if we only were very talented bohemian artists.
ReplyDeleteMy son graduated with a art degree from Stanford University last year and he always talks about the Grog-Blossomers and how he wants to emulate their work in his paintings. i know he will never match your sheer skill and raw primitive energy, but I pray that one day you guys will acknowledge him as a loyal follower of your art.

The Grog Blossomers: international serial artists. Back in '09 I observed the aftermath of the famed Cherry Chrysanthemum Croatia theme. Nobody saw it drumming up--but looking back on it now, I recall the foreshadowing signs. Regular tourists:
ReplyDeleteHawaiian tees
Sandals
Big, floppy straw hats
But I saw a twinkle in their eye and a grin on their upturned faces. The faces of true artists. The face of art.
Meanwhile, I breached the seals on the Croatian hotel sex industry, posing as an indoor maid. An expose of this, after many years of convincing my editor it is a praiseworthy piece of literature, comes out in next week's volume.
